To some extent, there is a great deal of useful information out there about postpartum depression and anxiety.  On the other hand, it only helps you if you know it is there and you know you can trust it.  I also think too much information can be overwhelming.  Therefore, I am only listing three sites for you to visit.  There are many other blogs and websites that offer guidance, support and testimony, but I have not visited them regularly.

  • Postpartum Support International (PSI) This organization offers a variety of services and the website provides information about postpartum mood disorders.  Depending on where you live, you might find local support through this site.  Find this excellent resource at
  •  Postpartum Progress When I first found this site on the internet, I was a little weary of a site that claimed to be “the best help & hope for postpartum depression” and  “the most widely read blog on postpartum depression.”  However, I have realized that both of those claims are absolutely true.  Katherine Stone, the founder and editor of the blog, presents up-to-date information, offers help for moms struggling with PPD or a related illness and provides opportunities for PPD survivors to connect and inspire each other.  Find her blog at
  •   Ivy’s PPD Blog I found this blog while I was writing my book.  Ivy had also written a book about PPD and she helped answer some of my questions about writing and self-publishing.  You can find her blog at
